Shift Mechanisms

Shift Mechanisms are part of the ergonomic feel of the vehicle interior. Our designs meet the stringent functional requirements while improving the cost and ergonomic performance.

This is accomplished by leveraging modern CAE tools and our many years of technical knowledge.

Bell Crank Assemblies

Our bell crank assemblies are designed with the manufacturing and assembly process in mind. During development we optimize the material usage for weight and cost savings while ensuring proper mold flow and strength. Our manufacturing process includes data collection in the critical areas of every part to insure performance on the vehicle.

Steering Column Jacket and Lower Mount Bracket

The cast components we provide for steering column assemblies are a critical element of the vehicle's performance. We work collaboratively with the OEM and Tier suppliers to make sure all requirements are met. We use Finite element analysis and 3D modeling during product development and our validation lab once prototype and production parts are completed.

These products are manufactured of Aluminum and Zinc. Some of the Aluminum parts also include inserted bushings.

Shift Lever

Shift levers are one of the first items the customer interfaces with when determining the quality of the vehicle. The look, feel, and function of the shift handle are all critical. Our technical team considers all these elements when developing these products.

We provide up to five different trim levels per vehicle from Leather to Plastic.

Tilt Mechanism

Driver comfort is critical to the overall customers experience. Positioning the steering column is one of the important factors in driver comfort. We engineer the tilt mechanism to allow for exact positioning of the steering column while having low effort release.
